HOW WE WORK WITH YOU
STAYING COMPLIANT
Staying compliant with the Fair Work Act isn’t optional — it’s essential for protecting your business and building a fair, respectful workplace. We help you cut through the complexity, so you fully understand your obligations and can manage issues before they turn into disputes.
Workplace rights cover everything from minimum wages and leave entitlements to workplace safety and protection from unfair dismissal. By understanding and applying these correctly, you create stronger relationships with your team and reduce the risk of costly claims.
Our role is to guide you through the legislation, give you clear, practical steps, and help you resolve issues quickly — while keeping your workplace compliant, fair, and productive.
Talk through the issue with our team. We will explain the practical next step, whether you need hourly advice, a defined project or ongoing outsourced support.
our guidance
Your managers are the link between leadership and your people — but many are promoted into leadership roles without the tools, knowledge, or confidence to manage effectively.
We help bridge that gap. From coaching on tricky conversations and performance management, to training on compliance, onboarding, and employee engagement, we equip your managers to lead with confidence and consistency.
Our support means they’ll know how to:
Handle HR and compliance matters correctly.
Give constructive feedback and manage performance.
Onboard new team members so they hit the ground running.
Build trust, engagement, and accountability within their teams.
By lifting the capability of your managers, you lift the performance of your whole business.
Modern Awards can be tricky to interpret and apply. The process involves working out which award applies to each employee, then ensuring you’re meeting all the requirements — from pay rates and leave entitlements to hours of work and other conditions.
We take that complexity off your plate. Our team helps you identify the correct award, apply it consistently, and stay across any changes. That means your people are treated fairly, your business stays compliant, and you can focus on running and growing your company without worrying about missing a legal requirement.
Staying compliant with employment laws starts with knowing how to correctly classify your employees and apply the right entitlements. Get it wrong, and you risk costly back pay, disputes, and compliance breaches.
Our HR advice gives you ongoing support to understand and apply employment classifications — casual, part-time, and full-time — and to check that your contracts, payroll, and practices align with the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and National Employment Standards.
Employment Classifications
Full-time – Standard hours (usually 38 per week) with full leave and benefits.
Part-time – Regular, guaranteed hours less than full-time, with pro-rata leave and benefits.
Casual – No guaranteed hours, paid a higher hourly rate to compensate for lack of leave and benefits.
Entitlements
Leave – Annual, personal/carer’s, parental, and other leave types accrue differently depending on classification.
Pay Rates – Base rates, overtime, and penalties vary by classification and award.
Other Benefits – Superannuation, public holidays, and industry-specific entitlements.
We make sure you understand the rules, apply them consistently, and stay compliant — so you can focus on running your business with confidence.
Ending employment — whether through termination or redundancy — is one of the most sensitive and high-risk areas of managing people. Done well, it protects your business, minimises disruption, and treats people with dignity and respect.
We guide you through every step so you can make confident, compliant decisions. Our consultants provide:
Clear compliance advice on notice periods, redundancy pay, and entitlements.
Accurate calculations for severance, accrued leave, and other payouts.
Structured processes that ensure consistency, fairness, and reduced legal risk.
Support with communication, from planning the conversation to managing team impact.
Post-termination assistance such as career counselling or reference preparation.
With CCG in your corner, you’ll have the right process, the right advice, and the confidence to handle even the toughest situations the right way.
Managing performance isn’t just about addressing problems — it’s about setting clear expectations, recognising wins, and supporting people to be their best. When issues do arise, they need to be handled quickly, fairly, and in line with workplace laws.
We partner with you to:

Identify concerns early and provide constructive feedback before they escalate.
